CORTIJO LOS DURANES

In the Northeast of the province of Cordoba, between 'Los Blazquez' and 'Granja de torrehermosa' from where this stud gets its name, lies the big and beautifull property known as 'Cortijo Los Duranes'.

In 'Los Duranes' we keep our stallions and in their pastures graze the mares and foals in peace and freedom while the stockmen supervise their health and feeding.

 

 

Before weaning, the foals are caressed and touched all over, and by the age of one they allow to be handled. This practice facilitates the future work with colts and young females, and the process of being broken when they are three years old.

 

A continous selection of mares and stallions based on temperament, functionality  and appearence, and the propper feeding of the animals from the beginningis the way to breed horses sensible of head, good temperament, powerfull weight carrying hability and presence.
